The day the lawn wasn't mowed

Yes... you read my headline right... Thats what our content editor decided to put as the main headline for the immigration rally story this morning... which just so happened to be on page one. I swear he is trying to belittle the incident, claiming it as "Nothing happened". Not only that, but he's using my friend's, Jonathan Miano's, pictures to do it. First, have a look at the front page (sorry the paper was too big for the scanner).

The two stories aren't related, and Jonathan did everything in his power to stop it from happening. He lost his contact at the rally in the city, and held up a giant sign trying to find anyone from naperville. He did... And this is what happens to her. It's outrageous. Hes been trying to get ahold of her all day to apologize and when we confront our editor, he said "She should be happy she had her picture in the paper". UNBELIVEABLE! I don't know if I'm happy to work here any more or not. I've been here almost 3 years... 3 freaking years, and now it all starts to go down hill. Alex is lucky he doesn't have to deal with injustices to people where hes going to work. This world is cruel... I need to change it, I have to do something... is this the real reason I was put here? Up until now I thought it was to make people happy, but no... this is terrible, and it's hurting Jonathan the most. Jon, if you ever read this, my deepest condolences go out to you. I'm so sorry they treated you, your work, and your subject in such a trivial manner. No one deserves that. Please I urge anyone in the area, please, call, write in, you need to. This sort of thing has got to stop....
